On the afternoon of March 12, 2026, Brother, in collaboration with Pro-Technic Machinery Group, successfully hosted the “Brother Technical Center Dongguan Open House & New Product Launch” at the Brother Machinery Technical Center in Songshan Lake, Dongguan.
During the event, the brand-new “Dual-Engine” model HU550Xd1 horizontal 5-axis machining center was officially unveiled, attracting numerous industry customers and representatives.

Following a brief yet warm welcome speech, representatives from Brother introduced the key technical highlights of the new model. As the latest addition to the SPEEDIO series, the HU550Xd1 integrates trunnion-type 5-axis simultaneous machining with the advantages of a horizontal spindle configuration. While maintaining its user-friendly operation, the machine further enhances compact performance, enabling the machining of larger workpieces within a smaller footprint. It is designed to help customers achieve cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and process integration.

During the seminar session, Brother also shared machining case studies from high-growth industries such as semiconductor components, humanoid robotics, and new energy automotive parts, offering valuable insights and inspiring new ideas for attendees.

The event reached its climax during the live machining demonstration session. The technical team conducted on-site demonstrations of multiple machine models. As the machines were put into operation, high-speed spindle rotation and smooth, precise movements showcased outstanding dynamic response and cutting stability. Engineers provided real-time explanations of key technical aspects, including cutting parameters, workholding methods, and tool paths, while also addressing questions from the audience. Guests engaged in in-depth discussions with engineers, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere.
